I bought this as a Birthday present for my wife, who awarded me about 100 stars for my choice, so fair’s fair Satisfyer: I’m giving you the maximum 5 stars.With a toy like this you want to know: how do you use it and, er, is it effective?So you can guess where the big and little ends go, but what do you do with it? The cutsie picture in the instruction leaflet suggests lying flat on your back. Not a bad idea as this toy is going to put you there anyway. But my wife tried on her back, front, side, all fours, sitting up … all very comfortable and satisfactory. The handle is somehow just right for either of us to use in any position, but more on that later.See the funny shape of the big end – think that will make insertion difficult? Not a bit – it’s a perfect size to slip in easily, but that shape means your body naturally holds it in, so your hands are free to use elsewhere – not bad eh? Oh, and if you tense up – voluntarily or otherwise, that pulls the toy in a bit more snuggly. Didn’t do anything special for my wife, but it certainly made me giggle.My wife likes lots of stimulation and movement, so she went straight to the highest speed. It certainly wasn’t too much for her, but it was plenty enough. Then the different settings: pulsing, waves etc. - usually my wife has no time for these – she just wants the maximum power. But somehow – she can’t explain how – she really enjoys the variations with this toy. I can only assume the inside and outside vibrations work together in some way, but she described stroking and other enjoyable sensations. Sounds good to me.I mentioned that my wife likes lots of movement, so one of us was on the handle most of the time, but we both liked that you don’t need to hold it in place. I found the buttons easy to find and use. My wife’s little hands could use the buttons easily, but she doesn’t find these things quite so easy to learn – there are four buttons after all. Nice that I’ve still got some use then …There’s a free app that claims to allow unlimited variations. Sounds kind of fun! We haven’t tried that yet: I won’t let my wife take her phone to bed because it would hurt my self-esteem when she starts checking her Facebook feed.Is it effective? Let me spell out the context: it’s my wife’s Birthday, I woke her up to a spectacular fingers-only treat. We’ve got children so can’t get up to anything during the day. Given how much fun she’d had in the morning, my hopes for the evening were realistic – after all, a girl’s only got so much to give, right? Urm, not this girl with this toy! We didn’t rush things, but the first ‘effect’ was gigantic: I had been feeling rather smug about the morning, but now I’m feeling a bit inadequate. She went on to have several more, a bit more normal in size and intensity. Then 15 minutes after we’d finished, she decided to try for one more. Well … that was not just ‘filling up the corners’, it was a whole new, erm, I’ve lost my metaphor, but it was good.I mentioned the kids, right? Well the youngest has now started school, and I can see in my wife’s eyes that this one is going to see some use during the day. If she tells me anything, I’ll update my review.Update: remember to charge after use. Yeah, who needs to be told this? I forgot and, next time around, things were singing along nicely when it stopped for a flat battery. Oops. I'd guess it had probably given about 60 minutes on full speed altogether. That's a decent performance, so Satisfyer: full points, Hubby: nil. Wifey is very adaptable though, and said she was 'not terribly disappointed'.Update 2: she tried it when I was out. Put it in and left it to do its thing. First one arrived rather quickly. She wiggled it around for the second one - which was enormous. She normally only gets "enormous" after we've been playing for ages so must have been lush. Girls lose count easily but she says there were loads more biggies. She normally runs out of steam after no more than an hour on her own, so she was going to carry on until everything was happy. But had to do school run after an hour and a half, and nowhere near finished. Thankfully. So she took me to bed this evening and (since she can't keep a secret) I got this update.Update 3Still her favourite toy after a year. I think she's stopped running upstairs as soon as I go out of the house :) but is always up for a play whenever I suggest it. Oh, and she's often got that grin when we go to bed which means she has something to tell me. Usually it's that she's been at this toy again. She sweetly says she still gets more fun out of me. But when I jokingly said we could get rid of it, she was as shocked as, erm, actually I don't know how I could have horrified her more. I've been warned of no fun for a month if I even joke about it again...Update 4She kicked me out of the bedroom yesterday! Well actually she asked very sweetly if she and toy could have some private time to 'get to know each other better '. Didn't come to see me until hours later, looking flushed and very ready for bed ( to sleep). All she'd tell me was they definitely know each other better, heehee. I quizzed her today and it turns out there is a setting that is really teasy for her - gets her super interested but not quite there. She kept it on for ages before switching to her usual full speed, and then melted into the biggest, wettest, most helpless puddle I ever saw. Lots of times. I pointed out that I DIDN'T see, but she just giggled. And then told me that they need more time this evening to get to know each other even better. She's promised that if I don't fuss, she'll let me watch soon. But not tonight. So I've had time to write this update. Sounds like, if you know how to use it, the Mono Flex just gets better and better.I've just spotted that Amazon now let me post a video in the review. Now there's a thought!Update 5Ok, I FINALLY got to see wife-and-toy solo. Gosh she's cute! I was told strictly no involvement so exercised all my self-control to sit and watch. She didn't even get her knickers off until near the end, and never got her top off at all (not necessary for girl solo time apparently). Did it matter? Not a bit: she was on the ceiling! And I was completely cross-eyed with admiration (and excitement). Since I wasn't allowed to do anything, I have got a video (!) but it's far too special to post - and probably wouldn't be allowed anyway. Since most of the action took place inside knickers, I can't really tell you what she did with the toy. But boys, I'd encourage you to let her have a complete solo sometimes - hopefully you get to watch, or at least got a detailed description :) - it might just be well worth it...
